Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa is seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Team Leader to oversee daily warehouse operations, manage warehouse staff, and ensure efficient inbound and outbound product movement. Key Responsibilities
Inbound and Outbound Operations
- Coordinate accurate picking, staging, loading, and dispatching of products.
- Manage receiving, unloading, and verification of incoming stock.
- Ensure timely replenishment of picking areas.
- Support daily load plans to achieve on-time deliveries.
- Identify and remove operational bottlenecks to improve efficiency.
Model Stock Management
- Maintain stock levels according to company model stock requirements.
- Ensure products, containers, and support materials are stored correctly.
- Enforce stacking requirements and warehouse standards.
- Prioritize stock allocation to minimize out-of-stock situations.
Production Interface Management
- Ensure seamless movement of stock between warehouse and manufacturing operations.
- Prevent production interruptions by maintaining consistent stock supply.
- Verify accurate documentation and sign-off procedures between departments.
Inventory Control
- Supervise daily stock counts and inventory verification.
- Investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Validate independent forward and reverse stock counts.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
Product Quality Management
- Implement First Expiry First Out (FEFO) stock rotation principles.
- Ensure products are handled correctly to maintain quality standards.
- Manage product rework activities according to company guidelines.
- Monitor stock age and rotation practices.
- Record breakages, damages, and decanting activities for continuous improvement.
Operational Excellence
- Promote safe operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment.
- Ensure pre-trip inspections are completed.
- Report equipment damages and breakdowns promptly.
- Maintain compliance with workplace safety regulations.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Successful candidates will be measured on:
- Orders Picked/Packed Per Hour
- Dock-to-Stock Time
- Loading and Unloading Time
- Order Accuracy Rate
- Safety Incident Rate
- Training Completion Rate
Minimum Requirements
Educational Qualifications
- Certificate in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.
Experience
- 3–5 years of warehouse or distribution centre experience.
- 1–2 years in a leadership or supervisory position.
- Experience with:
- Inventory management
- Shipping and receiving
